Hello! My name is Lana. :)
I was born in Croatia and have both Dalmatian and northern Croatian roots. I speak Polish fluently and lived in Poland for 7 years. I have known Croatia since birth – I completed both primary and secondary school here, and later continued my education by earning a bachelor’s degree in Kraków at the Jagiellonian University, followed by a master’s degree in economics and international relations in Scotland and Germany. On a daily basis, I work at one of the largest resorts in Zadar, which gives me a deep understanding of the local tourism market, events, and the expectations of guests visiting Dalmatia.
The name Adriora was created by combining the words Adria and ora.
• Adria refers to the Adriatic Sea – a place full of sunshine, history, and extraordinary landscapes.
• Ora comes from Latin and means shore or coast.
Together, they form a name that symbolizes closeness to the sea, authentic experiences, and discovering the most beautiful corners of the Adriatic coast.
I grew up in different parts of Croatia, so I know this country primarily from a local perspective. For 24 years, I spent my holidays in Istria, in the beautiful town of Rovinj, which allowed me to get to know this region very well. For many years now, I have spent every summer on the island of Brač, and I will be happy to show you its hidden beaches, small towns, and authentic Dalmatian atmosphere.
I will take you on a journey through lesser-known parts of the Adriatic – places I know from personal experience and have been discovering for years as a local.
On the Adriora blog, you will find only authentic and original content based on my own experience, local knowledge, and everyday life in Croatia. This is not a generic blog – every article is unique and created based on my observations, work in the tourism sector, and independently conducted research.
All photographs published on the blog are my own – I love capturing nature and the beauty of the Adriatic, mainly using Canon cameras, including the Canon R10 model. I want every post to reflect the true character of Croatia as seen through the eyes of a local.
On the blog, I also answer the most frequently asked questions from Polish tourists, so that everyone can prepare well for their trip and feel comfortable during their stay in Croatia. If you are looking for the real Croatia seen through the eyes of someone who knows the country from the inside – you are in the right place.
